Pitboard runs digital menu boards for businesses. This page explains what information we keep, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we only keep what the service needs to work, we don't sell it, and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed) — we can't read them.
- Your business content: your business name, time zone, menus, prices, schedules, and any pictures, logos or videos you upload.
- Your TVs: each connected TV gets a random ID so it remembers which board to show. We also record basic details the TV reports (device type, app version, and when it last checked in) so you can see whether it's working.
- Technical logs: like most websites, our servers log requests, including IP addresses, to keep the service secure and fix problems.
How we use it
To run the service: show your menus on your TVs, let you sign in, keep your account secure, and answer you when you contact us. We don't use your information for advertising and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers to run Pitboard, such as our web host and database provider. They store and process data only to provide their service to us. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google handles that sign-in under its own privacy policy. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Your menus show on your TVs, which anyone in your restaurant can see. If you turn on the phone menu, your menus (names, prices, descriptions and sold-outs) are also on a public web page that anyone with its link or QR code can open. If you make a staff link, anyone who has it can see your menu items and mark them sold out. You can turn either off, or make a new staff link, at any time from the Account page.
Cookies and storage
The dashboard uses one cookie to keep you signed in. The TV app stores its ID and a copy of the current menu on the TV so it keeps working without internet. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is open. To delete your account and everything in it, email mason@flyinfarmerpitstop.com from the address on your account and we'll remove it within 30 days. You can also ask us for a copy of your information.
Children
Pitboard is a tool for businesses and isn't meant for children under 13.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell account holders by email about anything significant. Questions? Email mason@flyinfarmerpitstop.com.
